I keep meeting people with HUGE hearts like yours. And the learning! I'd never have known about Breed Specific Legislation if it weren't for you. A little knowledge goes a long way and now that I know, I see it everywhere. The knowing has to happen before the change can come. Thanks for teaching us through your cause. They've seen so much and have a sense of appreciation for what they have - unlike my rescued kittens who think they rule the world and often give that look of "What are you going to for me now? As the adopter of an older dog, all I can say is "It is SO worth it!." I adopted my Aspen at 9 years old from the shelter I volunteer at on weekends. She was the most affectionate, loving and sweet girl. I only had her one year (she already had some health issues), but it was the best year ever and I still tear up from time to time because I miss her so. She had more personality than most dogs and all she wanted was time and attention... and I made sure she got lots of both. I encourage people to adopt an older dog. You will be so surprised at how quickly they become an important part of your life! I so look forward to reading Georgia's Story!
