BUCKLE-DOWN REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY

Buckle Down - LuckyEnter for a chance to win a Buckle-Down ensemble for your dog! There are hundreds of prints and color combinations to choose from, offering you the opportunity to flash a taste of your own personal style when walking your pet.

Eric Swope, Chief Operating Officer for Buckle-Down, says, “We combined our love for dogs and some really cool graphics and came up with collars and matching leads that make a statement.”

Buckle Down CollarsFrom eye-catching and fashion-forward graphics that read “Born to Blossom” and Born to Raise Hell” to brands like Ford Mustang® and Lincoln ®, there is a collar/lead for every taste. I especially love the red and white candy-cane stripe for the holidays.

The lead is 4 feet long and an inch wide, a perfect length for urban walking and just the right width and heft for a comfortable grip. Sturdy nylon straps and the collars come equipped with a welded D ring so the matching lead can easily be attached.

Using recycled and refurbished buckles for many of its products, these new pet accessories are no exception. And safety isn’t trumped by trend. With my escape artist, I worried that the clasp might be more fashionable than functional, but the miniature seatbelt buckle is both, releasing with a push of a button and locking securely in place.

Buckle-Down makes all collars and leads in the USA and they retail for approximately $20.00 – $30.00.  They can be found at PETCO stores and specialty stores across the country.  More information is available at www.buckle-down.com or on Buckle Down’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/buckledownproducts.

  1. i really really love the Skulls & Stars Black/White/Blue – Dog Collar in medium for my dog Raster. He is from Ratbone Rescue and we believe him to be a rat terrier/ aus cattle dog mix. His mom was pregnant and was rescued just days before she was to be gassed to death in a shelter in Louisana. She was taken to a foster home in Florida where a few weeks later she gave birth to 8 puppies. We saw his picture at only a few weeks old and fell in love so once he was old enough and we passed all of their rigorous adoption process he came to live with us in California.

He is a wonderful dog and loves competing in flyball because he is totally obsessed with fetch!

  2. Kristan Turnbeaugh says:

Rex-a-Rex is our love buddy! He adopted my grandfather and was very depressed when my grandfather tragically passed away. The only thing that made him happy again was moving in with my parents because my step-dad works out in his shop almost as much as my grandfather used to. He is constantly by my step-dad’s side and is a wonderful companion and love of our lives. We get to see a piece of my grandfather in Rex-a-Rex’s loving face, and that’s helped us all because we all miss him very much. I love the olive brown peace collar (med) because Rex inspires peace and calm in us all.

  3. Lisa Drury says:

Lisa Drury – I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, a LOVE, LOVE, PINK collar in size large for my girls. Abby, Minnie, Josie, Lucy, and little baby Crystal would all look PRETTY IN PINK. I LOVE them, they LOVE me, they are LOVEABLE all around! The design is snazzy, the quality is supurb, we can't wait to show our stuff at Tails on Trails!

  4. Kelly Ann T. says:

I like the Love Love Pink – Dog Collar in size large. This collar embodies the spirit of love that Milele has shown to everyone and continues to love everyone around her.

This is our Milele an Alaskan Malamute. She is 11 years old and also a retired therapy dog. She made such a huge difference in the lives she touched at nursing and veteran's homes. She was a member of a program called Safety Sam. Safety Sam members went into schools, camps and churches to teach kids about how to care for their pets. In addition to pet care they taught kids to be safe around dogs, especially if they were approached by a strange dog. We are so blessed to share our home with such a great dog!

  5. Andrea Dub says:

My dog Cyrus would look spectacular in the Dead Men Tell no Tales. He's my second mate so this set would be perfect for him. He's a size Medium but don't tell him that! He thinks he's 100 lbs of terror instead of 30. We've been through a lot together and I love nothing more than spoiling him every chance I get.

  6. I couldn't decide among all these wonderful entries, so I submitted each one to randomizer.org for selection.

Congratulations, Kelly Ann! You and Milele are the winner of the Buckle-Down Collar/Lead Giveaway at ThisOneWildLife.com!

Thank you all for sharing such wonderful, heartfelt stories about your dogs. It has truly been a pleasure to read them.
