The media frenzy has finally settled after Dancing with the Stars’ politically infused 11th season. Speculation is now abuzz about casting for Season 12. Lindsay Lohan, Portia de Rossi, Cheryl Cole and Christine O’Donnel (on Sarah Palin’s suggestion) are rumored to have made the short list.
I don’t watch the show, but I’d like to add two contenders to the list.
My star cats love dancing with straws. These kittens cut their new teeth on pretty pink plastic and have polished some serious moves in the process. They’re naturals, I tell ya. Let’s cast the cats, rename the show Dancing with the Straws, and root for some non-partisan talent. What say you, people of This One Wild Life?
haha. great choice of music and what about those flashing lights?! 🙂
Thanks, Georgia! They make awesome entertainers! (That's a euphemism for destructo-cats.)
They get my vote for sure!
omc those were some great moves!!! They must have been practicing for eons! I love the twirls and spins…I can see why they all scored TENS!
FYI: I heard that noo way is Portia de Rossi going to be on (but I could be wrong)……
Interesting, Caren. When "researching" this post (more like celeb scanning), I read a quote saying Portia was interested. Maybe the possibility of having to compete with an entire political party scared her away.
Love it! They would get my vote. I've never once watched this star dancing business but cat dancing I would make sure to tape so I could watch it over and over. Those cats have some hard-core talent!
Kristine,
It's good to know they have a fan base already. When I pitch this new show, the producers will see it's already a hit!
Very talented kitties! I could watch them for a very long time. Are they fraternal or identical twins?! Funny how the dog in the background slept all thru it. Such great quality video and very entertaining! Thanks
Hey Carol,
Yep. Our Newf is rather aloof when it comes to cat play.
Our cats are fraternal twins. Brothers from the same mother, they have different fathers. While I never knew it was possible, the scientific term for this is “superfetation.” As it turns out, roughly 10% of female cats go into heat between the third and sixth week of pregnancy and, although these cycles are rarely fertile, it is possible for a cat to carry fetuses of different ages resulting from separate matings. Typically, the youngest litter is delivered prematurely along with the oldest and they are not able to survive. In extremely rare cases, the youngest kittens remain in-utero until fully developed. I guess we have ourselves some rare and miraculous little super beasties. Against scientific odds, these guys found a way to be together and that’s how they’ll remain.
Hi Kim, I don't watch any reality show. However, I would watch, and I enjoyed watching, your kitties dance!
