Easter Bunnies

Emmett and Shamus went all out to wish you a wonderful Easter weekend, complete with eggs, chocolate, and Easter rabbits. Just remember, in their minds eggs are oval-shaped dog treats, chocolate amounts to yard fudge, and rabbits are only ever good in stew. For more wholesome entertainment, you simply have to check out the Washington Post’s continuing coverage of Peeps Show 2010. Whether you’re a fan of chicks or bunnies, everyone’s favorite sugary marshmallow candy is featured once again in this year’s Washington Post Peeps Diorama Contest.

Oh, and in case you wondered, yes, there’s an app for that

peeps iphone iconPeepsView, browse and share images of over 130 of the top entries to The Washington Post Peeps Diorama Contest from 2010 and past years! This contest is an extremely popular annual tradition that draws hundreds of sugary entries every spring. Readers are asked to make a diorama of a famous occurrence, scene or concept. It can be a historic, current or future event. It can be a nod to pop culture. It can be an evocation of an idea or abstraction. The one rule is that all the characters in the diorama must be played by Peeps, those marshmallowy chicks and rabbits plaguing checkout lines in every convenience store around Easter. The results, impressive for their creativity and craftsmanship, range from silly to serious to surprising.

So, Peops, enjoy your Peeps and have a wonderful Easter weekend!
